Here are the Faith Challenges from Pastor Craig's message from August 31 entitled "When Humility Hosts the Feast."
1. Practice Humility
Scripture: “For all who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted” (Luke 14:11).
This week, take the “lower seat” in everyday life. Let someone else go first in line, give up a preference without complaint, or listen more than you speak. Humility isn’t about weakness — it’s about strength that makes room for others. Practice the quiet strength of Christ by choosing the lower place and letting God lift you up.
2. Practice Hospitality
Scripture: “When you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed” (Luke 14:13–14).
Find one person this week who cannot repay you — a neighbor who is lonely, a co-worker who is struggling, or a stranger in need — and show them Christlike hospitality. It might be a meal, a conversation, an invitation, or even a simple act of kindness. Hospitality becomes holy when it expects nothing in return.
