A couple of weeks ago, the NYC Firefighters stopped at Mission Central on their way to Florida. We gave them 4 truckloads of supplies worth over $32,000. This was our 13th year of assisting them at Christmas, and this year, we were also helping with disaster relief efforts in Florida.
We just received these pictures of the devastation, some of the work that went into organizing the donations and finally, the end result…people who have been through a terrible disaster, many having lost everything, now able to smile and rejoice at Christmas.
