“You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”
(2 Corinthians 9:11-12)
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Ministry,
Grace to you in the name of Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace, Healer of our Brokenness and Hope of the World!
Just a few short weeks ago we celebrated the most powerful event in human history – the resurrection of Jesus the Christ. In a few more weeks we will celebrate Pentecost – the time when God’s Spirit powerfully came upon God’s people who began to change the world through their commitment to the Risen Christ.
God’s spirit is alive and moving mightily in the churches of the Susquehanna Conference. It is with profound thankfulness and gratitude that I write this letter to your congregation. Because of your faithfulness and your generosity, you have paid 100% of your Shares of Ministry. Please know how proud I am of you and your congregation.
Your commitment, your hard work, and your faithful spirit has allowed the Susquehanna Conference to honor our ministry commitment to missionaries across the world. Even during this pandemic, because of your generosity your congregation made sure that our retired pastors and their spouses are cared for by supplementing their health insurance. You have helped seminary students and churches whose pastor has had medication and other emergencies.
Churches and persons whose names you may never know have found life, new life, and a future full of hope because of your generosity. And, you have helped spread the love of God and have brought Jesus to people who may not otherwise know Him as Lord and Savior.
You have continued to show your community and the world that indeed we are better together! We can always do so much more when we join as one body in Jesus Christ.
Again, thank you for your faithfulness, your leadership, and your discipline of good stewardship. I know that God is using you and your congregation to be a blessing to thousands upon thousands of God’s people.
I would ask you to please share this letter and certificate with your congregation. Please let your members know how much I, as your Bishop, appreciate your congregation’s ministry and stewardship.
In Ministry Together with You,
Jeremiah Park
